The Children’s Gasparilla
Parade will take place at the Gasparilla Extravaganza, scheduled
for Saturday, January 24, 2009.
EventFest, Inc. of Tampa manages and markets the Gasparilla Extravaganza including the Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll, Children’s Gasparilla Parade, Gasparilla Air Invasion and the “Piratechnic” Extravaganza. This event has an average attendance of over 225,000.

Please Note: Due to the growing popularity of the Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll, there will be NO WALK-UPS ADMITTED. You must pre-register your preschooler in order for EventFest to plan the appropriate space needed for staging.
NEW IN 2009!!! Saluting the “Best of Stroll”
EventFest, in collaboration with our celebrity judges, will reward our “Best of Stroll” winners with complimentary reserved bleacher seating tickets for the 2009 Children’s Gasparilla Parade for their entire family! A minimum of ten (10) stroll participants shall be selected as “Best of Stroll” in 2009! Our judges will base their decisions on the originality, creativity and effort involved with:
- Gasparilla themed costumes
And / Or
- Gasparilla themed unit (stroller, wagon, tricycle, etc.) decorations
The judging will take place at 1:30 p.m. before the start of the Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll. Our “Best of Stroll” participants will receive a specially produced “Best of Stroll” mylar balloon to recognize their achievement as they stroll down Bayshore. EventFest staff will distribute “Best of Stroll” balloons and complimentary reserved bleacher tickets prior to the start of the stroll.
